Now more than ever, we need spaces where we can breathe, be, and reclaim joy on our own terms. PLAY AS LIBERATION, led by Ahran Lee, is that space—a place where Global Majority (aka BIPOC) folks can tap into the power of play as a radical act of liberation.
In this workshop series, you’ll explore foundational improv skills—present-moment listening, body awareness, relationship building, and unapologetic authenticity—all through the lens of liberation. No prior improv experience needed. Just come as you are—your full, messy, playful, beautifully imperfect self—and let’s reclaim our joy and play together.
Class address is emailed in advance of class, please contact: kat@provocationtheatre.com if you need directions.
Our classes are held in an indoor facility in the heart of Central Berkeley, near the intersection of San Pablo Way + University Ave.
The building policy is shoes-off, so we recommend wearing socks.
