The Persimmons Seeds

Joey and Tony make up The Persimmons Seeds. The Persimmon Seeds improv duo presents quirky characters, emotional connections, and modern stories through irreverent humor. Shows feature hilarious clowning, thrilling action sequences, quick pacing, and actors simultaneously playing multiple characters. The Seeds host the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier improv duo show every month.

Mallory Penney

Connected. Playful. Supportive.

Class with me is like walking into a warm, inviting home on a cold night, and as you enter, you realize the lamp speaks! and the fireplace is a portal to another world! You step through the fireplace and the new world comes into view…what’s possible?

I am a huge nerd for all things improv, especially the applications of improv in our work and home lives. In addition to being fun, improv is the “gym” to build powerful muscles like: connection and trust, curiosity and listening, thinking on our feet, and navigating the unknown.

I love the Bay Area because you can’t beat the people, culture, and food - biased Bay Area native here ;)

I want students to leave knowing they can do anything. Giving yourself permission to go for it is the hardest part, and we are all here to support you as we navigate uncharted territory together.

Ramya Mahalingam

Ramya uses storytelling skills to create community in work and play. She entertained audiences with compelling stories and facilitated weekly workshops and storytelling cohorts as a co-founder and director of Charlotte Storytellers. In the professional sphere, she has used storytelling to transform the way organizations innovate as an Associate Partner at McKinsey. She also makes terrible puns, but that's just a bug (or perhaps a bonus feature?)

Nat Hunter

Loyal. Libra. Prince.

Will likely never partake in the wonderful world of improv, but will always be the hype boy for anyone at Provocation Theatre.

Catch me in the back with my laptop, taking your tickets at the door, serving you tasty beverages, or just staring at Kat the whole show.

I'm not Eisa, but that's flattering.

JB

Cowboy. Spirit. Giver.

Although he may not be present in person, James is the watchful guider of Provocation Theatre; he has attended all shows with a Long Island Iced Tea in his otherworldly hands.

Catch him sending dimes as a way to say hi.
