Berkeley Improv has long been a trusted name in East Bay improvisation, founded on the belief that improv can be a cure for loneliness. For over a decade, we’ve offered accessible, high-quality training and joyful opportunities to play, welcoming college students, local artists, engineers, stay-at-home parents, and more into intentionally diverse and inclusive classrooms that reflect the beauty of Berkeley, CA.
In 2023, Berkeley Improv and Provocation Theatre became one, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter that remains firmly rooted in the supportive, playful environment our community knows and loves. We strive to be a welcoming playground for new improvisers, offering strong foundations, real-world application, and expanded workshop opportunities that bring artists together. We are also proud to continue creating dedicated, sacred spaces for BIPOC, femme-expansive, and queer improvisers to play, learn, and thrive.
